This trek combines two long-distance routes, the Dee Valley Way and the North Berwyn Way. Both routes are rich in history, wildlife, and rugged mountain scenery and trails. The trail is a demanding trek, crossing remote areas and rugged terrain. Our experienced leaders will guide you along the entire trail.
All you need to do is worry about putting one foot in front of the other. As well as experienced guides leading the trek, your accommodation is included in the trip, as well as breakfast on day 2.
We will meet at 8.30am at the Llangollen Hostel, our accommodation for the evening. This will give you the opportunity to drop off bags, if needed. We will then transfer to Corwen and the start of the walk after a short safety briefing.
According to weather and conditions, we will set off on our trek heading to the Llantysilio Mountain, where we will have an opportunity to visit a summit if time and energy allows. From there we will weave up and over local hills and down to the Horseshoe Falls before a leisurely finish to day 1 along the canal.
Today we start with a steep ascent before heading into open moorlands, ancient burial cairns, historic quarries and the summits of mountains as we work our way back to Corwen.
At the end of the course
We will transfer back to Llangollen at the end of the walk where we will say our goodbyes after the trek.
All courses & trips are run by fully qualified, experienced, and insured guides.
